march

here is where indigo thunder split a seam in the horizon

and out of the black-and-blue abyss, our bodies tumble down
like march's torrential temper, a frenzied sea of limbs surging from the sky.

lightning left your cumulus lips, latched to mine.

the electric current spilled from the loose wires between shoulders and hips
and the crackling power lines running parallel to our veins paralyze me:
short-circuit every thought that is not you.

together, we crawl inside the eye of this throbbing storm

trading our wind-lashed skin for the thrill of meeting mouth-to-mind,
and emerge on the other side, a tempest of brewing egos and rain-choked tumult,

your whispers spinning a hurricane to ravage the hollows of my heart.

A/N: this affection is nothing more than an (un)natural disaster, wrecking havoc upon the coastline of my already-besieged rationale.
