ADELE’S POV

I had already spent the morning dealing with dickhead students and teachers in each class and I was not looking forward to lunch knowing who I would have to put up with.

“Adele, where are you going?” I heard Simone shout behind me and a small crowd of people turned to look at her and me after she had yelled.

“I was going to quietly get outside for lunch without being seen” I said angry Simone had ruined my plan.

“Well I will come, wait up” and she quickly caught up with me. Simone was the only person who I could put up with when I was already angry and frustrated.

We walked outside and picked a green spot under a tree to sit and eat. I was hoping this was a place that Sid and Ethan would not find me.

“Guess what?” Simone said excitedly.

Simone was popular with everyone. She tended to attract all sorts of people with her energetic and bubbly personality. The only reason we were best friends was because I just happened to live across the road from her.

“What?” I said with my mouth full.

“Dean asked me to go to that guy’s party this weekend” she said a lot quieter knowing I would not be happy. Dean was in the football team with Sid and Ethan and was just as much of a sleaze but I did know that Simone was really into him so I tried to hide my disappointment.

“What did you say?” I said and it came out way too high pitched.

“Well I really want to but he wants to meet me there and I cannot turn up there on my own” and I stopped chewing and just let my mouth hang open knowing to well what her next question was.

“Simi don’t even ask you know I hate going places where Sid and Ethan will be” I said with my mouth full before she got the chance to ask about the party and then she did the last thing I expected.

“Please Adele I will only ever ask this once. It’s the only chance I have to possibly be with Dean. Pretty please” and she smiled her sickly sweet smile. I couldn’t help but laugh at her begging and as I did food came out of mouth and spat in front of me.

“Oh attractive Ads” I heard the annoying voice of Ethan.

“Well now my goal in life has been complete. I have finally made you think I am attractive” I said with just as much sarcasm as him.

“What are you girls up to?” Sid said as he sat down next to Simone and I noticed a small blush on her cheeks, she must have had a thing for footballers.

I then noticed the small crowd of people that had obviously been following the two boys and sighed, loudly.

“I would appreciate it if you two could fuck off so that you’re little posse will follow” I said not happy with the attention. Just to annoy me I am sure Ethan sat down nearly on top of me and put his arm around my shoulders.

“You love the attention Adele” he whispered in my ear and I quickly reacted by hitting him in the nose with my elbow.

“Oh shit Ads” he screamed and jumped up as blood started to run out his nose. I watched as two girls ran over to him.

“Ohh Ethan are you alright?” they gushed and followed him as he walked back towards the school. I turned to see Sid and Simone both staring at me with their mouths hanging open.

“What?” I asked as I continued to chow down on my sandwich and to my surprise Sid just started laughing, which caused Simone to giggle also.

“Gotta love you sis” he said and got up to follow Ethan.

ETHAN’S POV

I cannot believe she hit me in the nose. She was lucky that there was no break. She did get me one good thing though, which was the attention from the females. They all wanted to baby me at the same time and I wasn’t complaining one little bit.

“Oh Ethan come here” one of the girls said as she put her arms out to hug my head, I couldn’t even think of her name.

“It hurts so much” I said softly and sadly just to play on it a bit.

“It’s ok I will make it better” another of the girls said.

“Alright all of you leave now” I heard Sid coming towards me and all the girls then slowly left the nurses office.

“You are bad, man” he said nearly laughing.

“Well I only have you’re sister to thank” I replied coldly remembering this was all Adele’s fault.

“You shouldn’t do that sort of thing to her. You know she hates you” Sid said.

Sid and Adele were not close in the fact that they always spend time with each other and were best friends but they did love each other and Sid would always stand up for her and protect her, which pretty much meant Adele would never have a boyfriend having Sid as a brother.

“She’s the only person that reacts like that” I said smiling softly as I remembered the look on Adele’s face whenever I pretty much spoke to her. I loved seeing her all fired up.

“Well then you deserve the blood nose Ethan” Sid said before quickly leaving as the fat, angry nurse walked in.
