Earth Angel

She lays upon the earth so green

Limbs outstretched, greeting the sky

She feels the grass beneath her, tastes the sun above her

She flies without ever leaving her ground

Arms sway softly, legs follow in harmony

Like a snow angel in the grass.

Her freedom soaring, emotions amazing,

And before she values the beauty, the joy,

Her flying halts

And she falls back swiftly.

Down, down…

Farther, farther…

Legs erect, arms folded neatly

With the earth below her

And above her.

Forever an angel of the earth.
