Angel Eyes

Those angel eyes, those angel eyes,

How much longer before they are mine?

How much longer shall I wait?

Till you decide to take them away.

You say that you love me,

But what when that feeling is gone,

And your face looks away,

Now longer will those angel eyes be mine.

Those angel eyes, those angel eyes,

The same ones that were used to mesmerize and dazzle me,

Are now filled with lies,

Such deceitful angel eyes…

Those angel eyes, those angel eyes,

Who knew an angel could be filled with so many lies?

As you looked me in the face and said, “I only have eyes for you”,

But then you back away, and look at someone else’s the same way.

Eyes said to be from heaven above,

Such eyes of crystal blue,

Eyes said to be from God himself,

Are nothing but the Devil’s brood.
