Don’t Worry, I’m a cop
Don’t Worry, I’m a cop
Script By: Brandi Webster
Scene One
Opening: Ivy walks into the kitchen and grabs various chemicals from under the sink and then grabs a coffee cup. She mixes some in it then pours a little coffee above it. While she does this her voice is heard above.
Ivy: Some say I do things for attention. I wouldn’t know that. I just be myself. I like speaking my mind. I like doing the things I do. I have great friends, a great life, and a nice mother. What else could a girl ask for, right? Wrong. I have nice people around me, yet, no one to love. Every guy I’ve been with has just cheated on my broken up with me and lied to me about themselves. I hate that. I’m twenty; I should have a great boyfriend by now.
Sharleen (Ivy’s mother): Ivy! You up?
Ivy: Uh. Shit. Yeah mom, just making some coffee.
Ivy frantically puts everything away and cleans the counters off. A minuet or two later Sharleen enters and stands beside Ivy placing a hand on her shoulder.
Sharleen: You’re up early on a Saturday. What do you have planned for today?
Ivy smiles.
Ivy: Yeah. (Slight giggle) Not much today. Just going to laze around today.
Sharleen: Well okay.
Sharleen takes Ivy’s coffee concoction and takes a sip before Ivy can tell her to stop.
Ivy: Mom, don’t!
Scene fades to black while the sound of ambulances is heard in the distance.
