SCENE TEN

The scene starts with Ivy walking in the crowded city and Jaylen is heard.

Jaylen: So tell me more about this guy.

Ivy: Well…he’s great. There’s not much more to say than that.

Jaylen: Wrong. There is always plenty to be said about a man.

Ivy: Well, we’re just friends. I’ve only known him for one day. I can’t say much.

Jaylen: And you don’t love his blue eyes?

Ivy: They’re green.

Jaylen: Point proven. Now tell me more, I’d like to get to know my best friend is dating.

Ivy: (Shakes head). I told you we’re not dating.

Jaylen: Oh, your going back to the gay thing aren’t you?

Ivy: No…(sighs) If you really want to know more come with us tonight.

Jaylen: What? And impose on your date, no way.

Ivy: You won’t impose I promise. Besides it’s not really much of a date anyways.

Jaylen: (Thinks a moment).

Ivy: (Tugs on Jaylen’s arm). Please?

Jaylen: Fine.

Ivy: Thanks so much. (Ivy hugs Jaylen).

Jaylen: Yeah, yeah. Now come on, we’re going to be late for work.

Ivy: (Continues they’re walk down the block and the scene ends)
