Heartbeats return to regular rhythm

As tension and desire melt into afterglow.

Soft Caresses and whispered words

Reveal a deeper love, replacing the

Lust that has run its course.

Two perfect bodies give way to

Two perfect beings

To perfect love.

Curtains and drapes mute

Flickering candles. Soft, hot wax drips

Into basins below.

The shadows of wavering flames

Lull the two to sleep.

Two perfect beings

In perfect love

Fall into perfect dreams.

Time passes. The wicks

Burn down to the bottom,

Wax pooling below.

Candles can’t compete

With the brilliance of the

Perfect love

Perfect dreams

Perfect perfection.

What could be more beautiful than two

(perfect)

delicately tangled bodies,

(perfectly)

Glowing in tandem?
