a/n: You know who you are, and I'm sorry. That's all I can truly say.

We have both been fools.

Why can’t we see that?

Both of us,

You and I.

I’ve exhausted my words on paper

(Most of which you will never see)

So that we can both make sense of all of it.

Can’t you see?

You have been my inspiration,

The fuel for these confused words that leak onto the paper

Taking with them any trace of understanding and self-awareness I had left.

We have all changed,

Time does that to people.

But any change I have had has always been because of you.

I guess along the way we lost track of who was burning which bridge.

But I can only rebuild half of it.
