I couldn't stop to see because no one would let me look. I tried to rise above their heads, but the crowded place just shook. I tried to see past ignorance - perchance, could love be there? But no one would bow their heads below to say that one could care. Perhaps a daydream; perhaps it's ice, melting in the coming spring. But I doubt that I will ever know- for they wouldn't let me sing.
