The skies rejoice in calming blue wonder
wings sprout forth from the child and feathers
glide gently and gracefully to the ground
his lukewarm skin radiates with comforting adoration
fair flesh, soft strands, and elegant eyes
he is welcomed by the holy Gaia

Born is the angel who shall see
the beauty of the aquamarine heavens
the love of the lush green trees
the warmth of the burning golden sun

And so shall he die by the hands of the hellions
who have shrouded the sapphire sky in an ugly black
who have painted the emerald forests in crimson blood
who have wasted away the world’s gifts

The demons who call themselves superior
who call themselves almighty
who call themselves
Humans.

Author's Note: I submitted this to my school's literary magazine, but unfortunately, it wasn't accepted. Ah well, I liked writing the poem anyway. (laughs)
