Prologue

It seems years since i came down here, while really, according to 'him' it's only been a couple of weeks. I've started to think the Mages' Guild wanted me gone, probably a disappointment or a disgrace because I'm a woman. There is not many females that are involved in the Mages' Guild, and if they are, they are super talented - while me, I'm just 'good', not great, not magnificent - just good, like all the men around me.

He came one afternoon, while i was getting ingredients for one of my masters, and when i returned, my bag was thrown at me, and told 'Dustine, you're following Master Darkstone home' I looked at my Masters a little funny, until i seen the future bane of my existence. Who is he, you are wondering? Marik Darkstone, a Dark Elf - Drow - from one of the underground cities. Normally Drows don't worry about the surface and just stay underground unless something important is needed - which apparently happened this time.

From what i know, Marik was sent off somewhere, and when he returned, the Gates to his home were destroyed, and there was a foul smell - that's really all he told me, and refuses to say more.

So why me? Trust me, i asked myself that many times long before we got down here. I didn't even know why until much later, why Marik needed a Mage or someone with magic skills to follow him to his home city. Again from what he's told me, this Labyrinth, is one of the many ways they protect this city from invaders and their enemies. I found out later, that this place was crawling with... giant rats and other creatures, i had only read about! There had been many times, where i needed to help him out, because there were too many for him to handle; that was how i got my answer to 'why me'.

But, this... Male, he's so complicated. One minute, he's a complete brut, the next, he's making sure i don't need to rest because of how many spells i've casted. There was even one time when he...

Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself! Maybe i should just start at the beginning and go from there, so then that way, you'll understand everything.

Hey, here's a new story.
I started this a long time ago, and i thought i'd share this one. Well, it wasn't a long time ago, like Feb 2008, so it was this year. I probably won't post this story too quickly. But i'll also start posting some news soon, but we'll see.
