Changed

Into the heart of darkness

Into the mouth of hell

Born into the fire left by the past

Nothing left for the future; just an empty shell

Why destroy the world

And leave nothing for the next generation?

Nothing left here for our children

Whether they're African, American or Asian

This world is not worth living in

When all that is here is a living nightmare

The idea of a happy life

Is materialistic, not something of true care

The things that really matter

Are the things that are often forgotten

The way we treat the people we care for

Is despicable, even rotten

And when you're on the receiving end

Of punishment for doing nothing wrong

You'll realise the way the world has changed

And should have been preserved all along
