I am proud to say
That I have completely, 100 percent, absolutely moved on.

I listened to the birds chirp
And could enjoy it,
now that the sound of your laugh
doesn’t overshadow every other sound.

I saw the mountain scenery
And thought it was beautiful,
now that your face is no longer the standard for good looks.
If you had asked me a moment or two ago
I would have told you that I like
Tall, blue-eyed brunettes who can make me laugh
But I’ve turned an about-face,
And now defiantly proclaim
That hazel-eyed, sensitive blondes are more my thing.

I search you out every moment I find myself
In a situation where I might see your face--but honest,
It is just to have the pleasure of finding
That I don’t feel anything anymore.

I only keep looking in your eyes
So I can see that really,
the sky is much more brilliant.

Yes, it feels great.
Now that you’re out of my head for good,
I have time for more important things –
Like thinking about how I never think about you anymore.
