Cowboys are we
Restless and carefree
Our home is wherever the cattle happen to roam
Out days are spent under prairie sun
So we sing sad songs of our lost love
When the cow herding is done
We go into town
And drink glass upon glass of whiskey down
Then we get upset
Because we haven’t found our true love yet
So we challenge innocent citizens to duel
We drunken cowboys can be really cruel
After shooting up the little town
We’ve got to get out of there
And find a new place to hang around
So back out on the prairie we go
Where the only thing to do is watch grazing cattle roam
