Chapter 3 (Final!): The Beginning

Okay, this is bad. Not only am I stuck wearing a girls’ school uniform as a boy, but Ayumi saw us. I hope she didn’t see me change.

“I didn’t think you were like that, Kasei-kun,” Ayumi waggled her eyebrows at Tadayuki. “Moreover,” she turned toward Shinji, “we have to talk about that girlfriend of yours.”

“Ah, Ayumi, Tadayuki and I actually have something to discuss, I’ll talk to you later, off to class with you!” Shinji pushed Tadayuki forward and ran away from the pig-tailed girl. Ayumi made to protest, but the two boys were already around the corner.

“Geez, Shinji, what was that for?” Tadayuki panted when they finally reached a deserted hallway. “I mean, I’m glad we got away from Ayumi-san, but was it necessary to push me like that?”

“Tadayuki,” Shinji said, his eyes hidden under his bangs. “Don’t you want to know?”

“Yeah, why did you push me like that?” Tadayuki put his hands on his hips, completely forgetting he was wearing a skirt.

“No, I mean, don’t you want to know the answer to the question you asked earlier,” Shinji still didn’t look at the shorter boy.

“What questions? What’s up with you, Shinji?” Tadayuki adjusted the glasses on his face and stared at his best friend.

“You asked why I didn’t just date one of my fan girls,” Shinji finally looked up, a serious expression on his handsome face. Tadayuki blushed slightly and started walking backwards until he felt a desk on his lower back.

“Shinji, what are you talking about?” Tadayuki was getting worried now. Shinji got up and walked closer to the bespectacled boy.

“Haven’t you noticed that in the four years we’ve known each other, I’ve never once had a girlfriend?” Shinji put his hands on the desk behind Tadayuki, a hand on either side of the boy. “I like you, Yuki-chan.”

“Y-you’re j-just saying that because I can turn into a girl now,” Tadayuki blushed and tried to look away. Shinji grabbed the shorter boy’s chin between his thumb and index finger.

“No, Yuki-chan,” Shinji’s brown eyes were serious, “boy or girl,” he leaned in closer, “I’m in love with you,” and he kissed him. Tadayuki’s mind went blank. All those nights he thought he was weird for thinking about his best friend in that way and Shinji had felt the same way all along.

“Shinji,” Tadayuki blushed when the taller boy pulled away.

“SHINJI-SAMA!” Ayumi screamed after she opened the door to the classroom.

And that’s how it happened. How Ayumi finally got it through her head that Shinji doesn’t like her. I finally got my first boyfriend. And, after some persuasion on mine and Shinji’s part, we convinced my dad to get me contacts. So now, I can see perfectly and I don’t have to worry about turning into a girl. But I can’t talk too much longer, because Shinji and I have a date today.

“Yo, Yuki-chan!” Shinji greeted as he walked up to Tadayuki.

“Hey, Shinji, you don’t have to call me that anymore,” Tadayuki pouted.

“But, it’s such a cute nickname, besides, your dad calls you that,” Shinji smiled. “Speaking of which, he gave me these cool sunglasses yesterday, thought I’d try them out today,” he grinned as he put the shades on.

“Well, they do look good on you,” Tadayuki giggled and leaned forward to kiss his boyfriend. “But I prefer to see your beautiful eyes,” Shinji smirked as the shorter boy removed the sunglasses from his face. “There that’s-” Tadayuki paused.

“What?” Shinji raised on elegant eyebrow. “My voice!” his eyes widened. He looked down to see two sizeable lumps under his button-up shirt. Tadayuki looked up and down his boyfriend’s feminine body. “DR. KASEI!!”
