Ribbon

The ribbon of my soul unravels in your hand

Drifting from my body till I can no longer stand

Your arms that held me, ever so strong

Your absence has gone on much too long

You tell me to tell you, that you’ll understand

But the words will not come, they would be like a brand

Tainting your soul, defiling your touch

I know they would break you, I love you too much

My sins are my burden alone to withstand

How could I live if your hide I have tanned

So instead I smile and say

I love you, don’t worry, as my sanity unravels away

Thank you for reading, and please comment ;P
