Prologue

His yellow eyes glistened brightly as he looked at me. I couldn’t tell if it was because of the excessive amount of warm blood pooling ceaselessly out around me, or if it was the look of utter submission on my face. Either way, I was going to die.

I wanted to die, prayed for it even. I was ready. A thin smile crossed my lips. Yes, I mouthed wordlessly before I fell into eternal slumber.

The last thing I saw was my pitiful reflection in his eyes. Then the world faded and time stopped.
