Tapping on the windowpane,
Rapping on the door,
Peeking ‘round the slatted blinds,
Oh, won’t you let me in?
Stick my fingers through the mail slot,
Ring-a-ling the bell,
Calling out your name, now,
Why won’t you let me in?
Pounding on the lock, and,
Kicking at the base,
Frantically, I’m screaming,
Why is this door closed?
Sliding down the side now,
Leaning against the door,
Crying softly, in my hands, oh,
Why have you shut this door?
Y
ou are all alone now,
You won’t let us in,
You have shut and locked the door,
For fear of our being friends.
You keep the windows boarded,
Black-out curtains, too,
‘Cause if you let us in,
You know, our love, you’ll lose.
Better to cry, and stay inside,
Than to pine away,
For love, that’s lost,
It’s way.
A/N: I think this ones pretty self explanatory. For Darcie.
