water, a life necessity and luxury,
is bitter after you've bitten into the soft flesh of an apple,
it swells up your tongue and sticks it
to the roof of your parched mouth...like velcro
almost as if it is a punishment
for sinking your omnivorous teeth in it's hide
to suck what little nutrients and pleasure
you can from it.
but life moves on and forgets the minuscule
crime you committed, forgetting
and forgiving,
so that the water may slide down your throat
with ease again,
to quench that ever growing thirst.
a/n. tell me what you think it means...i'm not too good at metaphors...
