Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

Tis best to let sleeping dogs rest

Upon their fluffy beds

Let them dream

Of bones and endless buffets of steaks

And ribs

Tis best to let sleeping dogs rest

Let little dogs dream

Of being big and rough

Let them believe they could win all the fights

That they are the roughest of the rough

Let big dogs dream of pleasurable things

Of fluffy pillows

And pink waterbowls

Tis best to let sleeping dogs rest

But, I don’t know why I’m writing this poem

My dog is under no duress

So why should I let sleeping dogs lie?
