Everything was perfect
Simple and idyllic
My daddy was my teacher
My classes were all fun
My boyfriend was perfect
I had so many friends
Everything was perfect
But it was soon to end

The day my daddy was fired
I remember it still
My boyfriend shouted, cursed and cried
My friends all comforted, but had no clue
And me?
I wondered what to do

When my daddy was fired
I had to leave the school
My perfect little sanctuary
Became no more than a memory

When my daddy was fired
I lost it all, everything
The boyfriend stayed around
I guess
But the friends called less and less

I became a homeschool kid
