Apologist's Prayer
Oh, pardon me. So sorry to impede upon your white privilege.
Please, continue denying people of color their equality – their humanity. Because people get what they deserve, right? Especially in this fair and just country. I mean, African-Americans brought impoverished circumstances upon themselves: they willingly came in chains all those years ago to sweat, toil, endure strife, and harvest cotton for the white folk – labor for which they were obviously justly compensated. The legacy of cotton has rewarded them with poverty, a sense of internalized oppression, and a wonderful lack of opportunity.
Great! Just what they deserve.
Coloreds should know their place at the bottom of the economic and social hierarchy, right? They are sub-human, after all. As are Latinos, Asians, and Native Americans. The full benefits of American citizenship are reserved only for the elite white race.
Come brethren, let us unite under the possessive investment in whiteness; let us pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America:
One nation, under tyranny, divisible, with oppression and injustice for all (Well...except Caucasians, of course).
In capitalism and racism we trust!
Amen.
