The wind whips at my hair,

Blowing it in my face.

I am balanced perfectly,

Not even the wind can shake me.

I step back and bend in half,

Sobbing uncontrollably.

“Oh God! You left, you really didn’t care! You left!”

My knees give out and I collapse.

Breathing is a struggle.

I sob again, moaning your name.

“Why? Oh God, why?” I sob.

I stand and step to the edge of the roof again.

Thoughts of you won’t stop me this time.

The wind whips my hair.

I close my eyes and prepare to fall.

Then you are there behind me,

Pulling me off the edge,

Burying my face in your jacket.

“Oh Nick” you whisper.

“Why?”

“You left me” I respond simply.

He kisses my cheek.

“I could never leave you for good” he tells me.

I smile and bury my tear-stained face deeper in his shoulder.

“I love you Jack”

He smiles back and kisses me.

“I love you too, Nick”

“I love you too”
