The rain throwing itself onto the windshield
Distorting the view from inside the care
The Beatles sing to me of their life in a Yellow Submarine,
Acid trips and LSD lead to some amazing music.
The wipers angerly shove the rain around the windshield
Allowing the driver a glimps of the road
Before rain distorted it again.
The Beatles claim that all you need is love
But the government claims you need a penis and a vagina
To be wed.
And without money
You will die before you can enjoy your love.
Not to mention it takes 2 people
If its only one its called an obsession
So you must be loved back.
The 60’s and 70’s were plagued with drugs
And without them music would never progress
We would be lacking all the unsensical songs
that helped inspire other songs and ideas.
Guys in white hats and brown shirts
Strutting through the gas station parking lot
Acting all tough
Looking through their wallets
With an expressionless face
And a look of uncaring.
Mom loads more and more bags onto my lap
I wonder if she will bury me
Then forget about me
And when she unloads the car
Be suprised to find me.
And there is my house
As I’ll put away my notebook
And turn down the music
And probably have another argument with her.
