She barely got through.

Life’s tough,

And she barely got through

So long, so harsh.

One thing after another

Piling up,

Like a car wreck

Until she cried.

No smile

No laugh.

None was seen all day

Quiet, solemn

A frown.

And then she stepped outside

And saw the rain.

The rain falling,

Dripping

Dropping

Raining

And she stopped for a second,

And stepped out into the torrent.

She smiled.

She actually smiled.

Her sobs turned into laughs

And she spread her arms, and danced.
