Little Things

It’s those little things,

that you do so humbly,

that prove the words you speak.

Those little things

Say more than any words could explain,

More than just “I love you”.

It’s those little things,

I never notice ‘til it’s too late.

I miss my chance to thank you.

Those little things,

slip right by me,

but always deserve my praise.

The little things,

that I do that persuade

they show my purity.

My little things,

Lay under my actions

they are the whispers through the silence.

Little things

that will never be noticed,

and only heard by the Almighty One.

It can never be,

Just those little things,

holding everything together.

All the little things,

Never amount to enough

They could never keep us together.

Always the little things,

Build up behind our walls

They rot within us and scrape away.

The little things.

When will we let go,

when will the little things save us?
