Little darling,

Oh, I loved you.

Little darling,

I swear it’s true.

Little darling,

You made me blue.

Little darling,

Put me in a trance.

Little darling,

I wanted to dance.

Little daring,

Didn’t give me a chance.

Little darling,

Made my heart fly.

Little darling,

Now makes me cry.

Little darling,

The end drew nigh.

Little darling,

Don’t love me no more.

Little darling,

She closed the door.

Little darling,

Made my heart sore.

Little darling,

Hurt me so bad.

Little darling,

She made me sad.

Little darling,

Now makes me mad.

Little darling,

You left me.

Little darling,

Oh I'll make you see.

Little darling,

That we should be.

Little darling,

Still sets my heart soaring,

Little darling,

Can see my tears pouring.

Little darling,

Who I’m still adoring.

Little darling,

I just can’t stop.

Little darling,

Though I know your loves’ a flop.

Little darling,

Sends me spinning like a top.

Little darling,

I still love you.

Little darling,

Oh, yes, it’s true.

Little darling,

You still make me blue.

A/N: I wrote this while listening to The Daimond's "Little Darlin'" repitantly. While it has nothing to do with the song, it still sort of inspired me.

Also, I'm a girl, and the reason the narrator in my poem is a guy is because, well, why would a girl call her boyfriend "Little Darling?"
