A Vampires Love

These are the Characters:

Count Dracula-- the head master

Helena-- Count Dracula’s wife

Adrianne -- Count Dracula’s 1st son

Drace -- Count Dracula’s 2nd son

Karen-- A mortal girl who is in love with Drake

Anna-- fiancée of Drake

Count Draculo-- Anna’s father.

(INTRODUCTION…………….)

Narrator : A matter of time and generation, death and resurrection?

A love that is forbidden and a family reputation to be protected,

A story that can change their life at the same time our lives forever.

-- Introducing the highest rank of Vampire the Alejandro Family, Count Dracula, Helena his wife, Adrianne and Drace their children. A family that belongs to the elite, however, Drace their younger sibling has fallen in love with a mortal named Karen. Drace knew what would happen if he pursue this kind of relationship but he can’t help himself in trying to be a vampire which he know he can’t.

The scenery opens in their dining table, a gathering of their family takes place…

Count: My son Adrianne, have you done what I wish you for?

Adrianne : Yes my father.

Helena: My son Drace, your night shall soon come. Are you ready?

( Then gives Drace a quick curiosity on what his mother mean)

Drace: For what mother?

Helena: For your first blood my son.

Adrianne: Yes! It will be the sweetest and the most successful thing you’ll

ever done.

Drace: But…… mother.. brother…um.. I don’t want to, I just want to be an

ordinary person.

Count: CURSE YOU! You shall not speak about that, especially in front of me.

( Fear is taking over Drace, he don’t want his father to do something terrible that can cause destruction to the humans especially in where Karen lives.)

Count: Do you understand me?

Drace: Yes father.

Count: HUH !! I just lost my appetite…. Excuse me… (Stands up and leave the table)

( -Drace felt a little bit of guilt inside of him, he never saw his father react that way ever since, only now when he talks about wanting to be human being, he felt the shiver along his nerves)

Drace: I’m sorry mother; I never thought father would react that way.

Adrianne: Don’t tell it to mother, tell it to father, you idiot! You really do want father to be

disappointed. Don’t you?

Helena: Go on, seek forgiveness to your father.

(-By the support of Helena it gives Drace the courage to speak to his father. After a minute or two Drace builds up all the strength he could have and approached his father who is now inside his coffin.)

Drace: Father, may I speak with you?

Dracula: Yes my son, ( he then slowly roses from the coffin)

Drace: I’m sorry father. (looking really pale and frightened)

Dracula: I told you that disappoint me. Drace I trust you. So, don’t try me. (he warned,

looking really straight faced and firm)

Drace: I understand.

Dracula: Then again, you have my blood if you’ll disappoint me, I’ll give the throne to

Adrianne.

Drace: But father… it is right to give the throne to Adrianne, he is the eldest son as

everyone knows. He’ll be totally be disappointed.

Dracula: I don’t mind what anyone think Drace, as long as I am firm with my decision that

you are going to ascend my throne. (Drake felt silent and still, how could his father

so much trust in me.?’ He thought clumsily.)

(-The conversation is overheard by Adrianne and Helena)

Dracula: And also maybe later you’ll meet your future wife and we’ll arrange your marriage.

(Drace can’t think straight on what his father told him, so he just may attention on what his father says and after their conversation Drace immediately went to Karen’s place at the cemetery. CEMETARY?? (yeah… cemetery…)

It is where Karen lives. After the sun has finally hid itself Karen and Drace took that change and went out to see each other again, the moment they set their eyes with their very own presence. They acted as if they wasn’t able to see each other for a long time so Drace immediately embrace Karen tight but very gentle, thus that is also what she did in a reply.)

Karen: Drace at last you’re here.

Drace: Karen (pushing away for him to see Karen’s face)

Karen: Oh Drace, I’ve waited here for 7 hours.

Drace: I’m really sorry, my father almost has a grudge on me luckily I slip. My mother also

….you know… its.. like… and oh…my brother ……

Karen: Shshh… I understand you don’t need to explain. I’m not even angry.

Drace: Karen,

Karen: Drace I know our relationship is really this dangerous but I need to accept it and

you should too.

Drace: That’s really it.

Karen: What do you mean?

Drace: My father is planning my marriage already.

Karen: Marriage? To whom?

Drace: That I need to know. Karen I don’t any other woman I want you. No other else.

Karen: Same as to me but what can we do?

Drace: I really don’t know but don’t worry maybe sooner or later I’ll come up with a plan but

as for now I want to spend my night with you.

(- The only thing Drace don’t know that Helena his mother has been watching him. It then gave Helena a bit of shock on what she had witness a while ago. She can’t believe her son is passionately in love with a mortal girl. Afterwards Drace and Karen went back to their homes as night gone really deep. Immediately Drace headed home.)

Helena: Where have you been?

Drace: Mother? Um.. Outside……

Helena: Don’t fool me I saw you with that mortal girl that why you usually go out at night.

Who do you think you’re fooling?

Drace : Mother I just did that because I want to feel accepted and normal for once.

Helena: You’re not even worried? How about the reaction of your father? Don’t you care?

Drace: Mother, I love Karen and nothing can stop me even you or father.

( -It then gives Helena a shrill on her body. She was surprised by the fact that he is protecting this mere human being who isn’t even part of their race. ‘How determine could he be?’ Helena wonder)

Count Draculo: AH! Here is my son-in –law , Drace.

( Then the tension then lessen as Drace saw his Uncle and daughter who is Anna.)

Count Draculo: Meet my daughter Anna, which would be your future wife. (pointing to where

Anna is located, slowly she moved closer to him.)

Anna: Good evening Drace.

Drace: Good evening too Anna. (He kissed the hands of Anna)

Anna: So.. Drace, have your father told you about this agreement?

(Drace then pauses and thinks over on what just happen. He just can’t believe that at this time his father is planning a very soon marriage for him. Which he had not expect yet to be held this early.)

Anna: Drace?

Drace: Um.. Yes, my father has informed me.

Anna: So why do you look so surprise? Are you not expecting me?... Or you’re expecting someone other than me? (she was eying on Drace who is now really feeling uncomfortable.)

(- Helena as well as Drace immediately shivers in that fast and sudden question. Both of them don’t want to let them now about Karen whom they have been arguing about earlier. Have Anna heard their conversation? Is she going to use that against Count Dracula for the wedding to be held as soon as possible?)

Count Draculo: Foolish question my daughter. (Anna then grins)

(Count Draculo laughs at the same time the arrival of Count Dracula)

Count Dracula: Indeed foolish!

(Then Helena and Drace then felt scared. What if Count Dracula would find out about their secret? They then felt more scared as Count Dracula approaches near them.)

Count Dracula: My son will never disappoint me, I’m sure of it. Is it that right my son?

Drace: Yes father.

Anna: Yes maybe that is a foolish question. (Laughs)

Helena: I bet you’re hungry? (loosening up the tension)

Count Dracula: Yes we are.

Helena: So let have dinner.

(They’ve eaten dinner and the night is so splendid for all of them except for Drace.)

(After the dinner, everyone went to sleep. Drace then sat at their balcony thinking what should he do? Helena then approaches him.)

Drace: Mother? What are you doing staying up late?

Helena: Am I suppose to ask you that? Are you still thinking about her?

Drace: Yes mother, I don’t want to marry Anna, I love Karen so much I’ll give my life for her.

Helena: I know what you feel. I understand I was once like that and now you see I’m alright.

Drace : What do you mean?

Helena: My son I am once a human and your father love me so much he gives his life to me but I cant bare him suffer in the hands of his father so I decided to be one of them.

Drace: Is that true? You’re a human before? I can’t believe that. (standing him with his head lower than usual)

Helena: I know, it’s unbelievable isn’t it? (giving him her sweetest smile.)

(Drace is after all her son, no matter what happen, he’ll be protecting his son’s with his life)

(The both of them burst out laughing. That at least didn’t happen once in a while between them. It felt so lovely that they don’t want to loose this moment being a son and a mother bonding. They hold their breaths to prevent themselves from laughing again because they need to talk about the serious fact now and Karen is part of it. )

Drace: But what now? What should I do?

Helena: I really don’t know.

Drace: I need to do something before it’s too late. I have to tell them the truth sooner or later.
