Rock Bottom

The world falls apart and all I’m left with is the shell

The remnants of the pain and my sacrifices lay empty

The ones that once meant everything left a void

And the burning hate inside my mind leaves me gasping for mercy

I place the gun to my temple, whispering for a God that doesn’t exist

And the teardrops hit the carpet as the rain runs down my heart

My eyes grow glassy and cold, reflecting the abandoned soul

My shaking hands scrawl out my thoughts and desperations

My everything pleads for help, I never meant to let it get this far

But everyone is gone, victims of my own selfish tendencies

And I begin to pull the trigger, the bullet shaking in the barrel

The teardrop hits the ground, the body hits the bed, and I hit rock bottom
