Photograph

I can’t get used to living with out you

Though I’ve tried my hardest to

You were/ are the best friend I ever had

All that I have left of you

Is a photograph of us two

It was taken the day you gave me

That best friends necklace

You said from my heart for you

We were best friends and you I entrusted my deepest secrets to

We formed our poetry together

There in the hideout amidst the trees

I left you to the wolves

I’m sorry

But, my heart remained with you

Because adsuradly I am not the same

Not one “friend” since

Has ever invited me over for tea, movies and games

I miss you so much

I can’t get used to living without you

Still I must endure

(For Kim)
