Rainy Days

Have you ever touched the sky on a rainy day?

It’s not so simple when the sky’s always grey,

And the rain’s pouring on your sad, sad face,

There aretoo many of those days.

Have you ever touched the sky on a rainy day?

It’s impossible when you’re away,

Being alone and hurt with no one to turn to,

There’s been so many of those days.

Have you ever touched the sky on a rainy day?

In a dirty, muddy hole where forever you will lay,

Sobbing, broken, and beaten at last,

This is one of those days.

Have you ever touched the sky on a rainy day?

You’re not the person you were yesterday,

You’ve wasted your life being nothing,

There can’t be anymore of those days.

Have you ever touched the sky on a rainy day?

And finally heard enough of what they say,

That you took a gun to make it go away,

So there will never be another one of those days…?
