Plump woman in a tiny book store,
cotton candy colours and flushed cheeks,
tarot cards and fake predictions,
something about the way she looked through me.

Said I had to bring music to my life,
busying myself with the key chains tied to my backpack,
instead of listening to what was in store for me,
based on my angel cards.

Thinking of taking a trip to Halifax,
spend some time in shopping malls,
take a few too many pictures,
because I don’t care for my future.

Plump woman in a tiny bookstore,
she has no idea what I’ll do one day.
