The Price of a Life
A man, just like any other
Raped and murdered a child
He hid her body in the woods
Some hunter found her
They found this man, just like any other
His peers found him guilty
For what he did to the little girl
Now what should be this man’s punishment?
Do we as his peers
Have the right to take away his life?
If we do won’t we be committing part of the same crime?
Do we have this power
To take a life?
Tell me
What is the price of a life?
He’s a falliable man
Just like any other
His crime was horrible
But do we deserve to merit out
That type of justice?
Tell me
What is the price of a life?
