They try to keep it simple
Tell you that its just a pimple
Till the tests come back
To tell you what you lack
The will to live
Trust to give
To them who will cure
This body that is impure
Tell you long words
That flow over you like chords
Flowing from your favorite song
That took just too long
Only a few months they said
Given to the one abed
Now your hair is falling out
Too weak to even give a shout
Of longing for what you lost
And of what that game did cost
You to go out that one day
Said to just go and play
Out in the sun
For a little fun
But the screen that does protect
Was forgotten from childish neglect
Never to notice that one speil
Was what cost you the whole deal
Of living a long full life
With the one that would become your wife
That tiny little furrow
In your skin it did burrow
To give one fatal answer
That became your life of cancer
