Chapter One
An image of Kim stomach popped up on the screen, she was about six months along in her pregnancy in the video.
“That’s my baby in there! My little boy!” Damion shouted from behind the camera, Kim could still picture his face.
Tears leaked from her golden eyes as she watched the tape. His hand reached out, rubbing her stomach and the camera was lifted to Kim's face.
"Must you play with that thing?" She scolded.
"Of course, baby, of course!" He turned the camera on himself, "She's a little grumpy these days."
Kim quickly paused on his face. She stared at him for a long time. He had been so excited about the baby, that afternoon, he had left on his motorcycle. She'd gottan a call later that he had been in accident. Aidan rushed her to the hospital-no one was letting her drive- but by the time she had arrive, he had already passed away.
Kim had been devestated, she almost lost the baby.
But three months later, Chris was born. A beautiful baby boy. Aidan took over the role of both uncle and father figure for him.About a year later, her dad decided to play match maker. He had set Kim and Jesse up. Chris had fallen in lopver with Jesse emidiatly, and visa versa, about five months later, he had proposed.
Kim couldn't say no, he reminded her so much of Damion, and Chris needed a dad.
Her golden eyes stared at the image of Damion's face on the screen for a long time, then she lifted the remote, and turned it off.
"You need a vacation, Kimmy." Kat said, sipping at her tea.
Kim looked slightly disgusted, she hated tea. Kat didn't notice her face though as she kept talking.
"I'm sure Jesse would agree."
"I don't need a vacation, I need something to keep me busy." Kim said, dropping her chin so that her head rested in her palm. "Damion would have hated to have me moping around for so long."
Kat eyed her for a long moment. "You feel guilty about marrying Jesse, don't you?"
Kim grimaced, "Maybe just a little... I was married to Damion! It just feels wrong to move on so quickly. Besides, it's been almost two months since I've talked to Jesse!"
"Kimmy... Kimmy..." Kat took Kim's hands, "It's been two years, you're about to turn twenty one. You deserve to move on."
Kim nodded a little, "But I don't want to."
"I know, Kimmy, but Damion's not gonna come back."
Kim stared at the computer in front of her, she hated reports, she wanted to be an artist. Why didn't they just have her draw something? Not just sit here and write about drawing something. She groaned and rubbed her temples.
"I hate school." She muttered.
Chris stepped up behind her, he reached up and tugged on her arm. She looked down at the little boy, he looked so much like Dustin.
A constant reminder of the worst night of her life.
Kim couldn’t remember when they had moved from the club to a car. No… not a car… a motor home. The room was spinning around her, she couldn’t hold on to a single thought, it’s just a nightmare, you’ll wake up.
But then he was over her, grabbing at her clothes, his nails clawing at her body as a cruel grin curved around his lips.
“This is going to be fun.”
The words swirled in her head, she couldn’t hold onto them long enough to realize their meaning, but he actively explained it eagerly.
Tears sprang to her eyes, the alcohol were still controlling her, she couldn’t scream, couldn’t fight, she couldn’t even move. He had this planned all night…
He moved harshly inside her, moaning in her ear, tuanting her.
Kim didn’t know had long it had lasted, she didn’t want to know, all she knew was the by the time it was done, everything hurt.
Dustin’s hands were behind her head, holding himself up as he smiled down at her. That smile… he looked so pleased with himself… so happy. He wiped some of her tears away.
“There’s no need to cry, angel…”
I’m not an angel… I’m damaged, can’t you see that?!
Another man walked in, Kim didn’t even bother to look towards him. The bed dipped and Kim closed her eyes tightly.
Not again!
The man was talking to her, his voice soft… soothing. Kim still didn’t open her eyes, were they mocking her now? The second man gently picked her up, she closed her eyes even more tightly, sure that something was off now.
“You can open your eyes now, Sweetheart, you’re safe.” The man set her down in a chair, close to the door of the motor home and placed some clothes in her lap.
