oh sunshine,
i never hear a word from you.
i’m starting to think that
if i stopped saying hello,
we’d never speak again.

tell me what i’m waiting for,
and why i keep waiting,
waiting in vain,
for nothing…
nothing that’ll ever come.

help me figure out why
i’m still waiting for you, sunshine.
you’re just gunna leave me,
so i suppose now’s the time to just
stop waiting,
start moving.

but some part of me wonders if
i’m waiting here for you,
and you’re waiting somewhere else.

not for me, for something else,
someone else that’s keeping us apart.

i think i am.
stop waiting,
start moving,

but i’m locked down here,
and sunshine, you’ve got the only key.
