Whose Lips Are These

Whose Lips Are These?

Written By: Lady Alera Van Hexis

Whose supple lips are these? Those that touch my own, my questioning lips. Whose wandering gaze doth move me deeper still into the twilight. I ask because my heart doth leap at a single touch. My pearly cheeks shall blush and nothing more. So love of mine. I ask thee simply. Whose silent lips are these that cause my words to falter? How long must love be waiting off, a slave to fashion and to time? Bound only by the lips of others. Bound by secrets and moving, melodic lies that also slip from silent lips, as kisses do. My dear and faithful lover. Cling to me as you have clung to solitude. As you have wished and whispered for the dawn. And night will fall upon us and embrace us. As dreams will fall between us and we will catch them in silver cups, only to drink them down as we have our entire lives. To sip upon the shadows and the lies as if they were the rarest wine. As I lie within your arms, my castles. And once again I shall partake, in kisses sweet and silent. So finally, before I wake, or leave you here with nothing more, I ask you with my silent heart as shadows fall upon us, cloaking us in all their splendor. Whose lips are these?
