swishing blue, beaming into metaphors,
life, and everything in between.
flecks of dreams I paint on the sky
talking of these dreams like they’d come true
make-believe is easy, but digesting truth
is like learning that you never fit in
and the words they say were only words
that needed to be forgotten
and never remembered.

angry tension and conflicts
seeped through the hungry cracks
we had forgotten to close

and I’m telling you this-

that I never want to go back again
these steps a mile back produce
sad thoughts like moons on my planet.
