Lizzie Goddard

Pale faces rythmed paces.

Ones they love,

Ones they hate.

Rigid backs flinch at the crack,

Fear what is to come.

Weathered leaders speak,

Younger ones keep meek.

But all will wincing see,

The shriveled burning tree.

Fear what is now at hand.

Soundless noise is broken,

Darkened sky spins by.

Shield the ones you love,

Defend from death above.

Fear not what is in the past.

Calm the racing hearts,

A lull in darkened darts.

Time to diminish fear,

Time to hold the ones dear.

No fear in times of peace.

At times burdens are dark,

The fight will leave a mark.

Find the light and sound,

Our chains fall unbound.

Fear the end of peace.
