∙This poem is dedicated to my grandpa Albert Carpenter who died in an horrible accident when I was younger.

"My Heart's Pain"

The pain I felt when he died,

Makes me want to cry and cry,

Even though smile is what you always see,

You will never know the real me,

To see him in the ground brings me so much pain,

And after that day I wished it would thunder and rain,

Right now my heart is crying,

Because of all of the greedy peoples lying,

I wish that he was still here,

I that people gave a care,

All that happened in the past,

But how long must this pain in my heart last,

They say he was happy when he died,

They say it was wrong for me to have cried,

And in the end I know this is true,

What will never die is the love I shared with you.
