A/N: FINALLY I am going to post this story! I have re-written the draft so many times, and I'll probably re-write the beginning later on in the future, but... here you go. This story needs to be read I think. Also, I'm going to be posting links periodically on my profile to character pictures that I will post on my deviantart page. ;D You are welcome to go take a look at them.

“It’s already totally obliterated this section! At this rate it’s going to swallow up the entire system! We need to locate her!” An elder man stood before the small group of elders. All the eyes of the occupants in the room turned to the head of the table.

The man with long black hair slowly brought his hand up from the table and placed it on his lips that slowly smirked as he gazed around at them, “Patience… My trustful servant is locating her. How is the southern sector?”

“There has been much activity… and it seems that they are buying a lot of parts for weapons… Would you like us to restart the academy?” A female asked from across the table.

“Yes. I have a feeling we will need them…” Looking out of the window out into space he sighed, the births have been lowering for the past couple of decades as inhabitable planets were slowly being destroyed, a war would be a stupid gesture on everyone’s part. However, he couldn’t sit by and let the innocent die. He had to locate the priestess and quick. Only she could restore the natural order. Silently, he prayed Zeke would find her soon.

--

Faye sighed, her breath fogging her vision. ‘Another cold night, and here I am walking home alone,’ she thought as she wrapped her scarf around her neck a bit tighter. Faye looked up at the sky to see a slow and steady snowfall flaking down on her. She continued her walk to her apartment five blocks away from her work. The whole time fingering the keys to the apartment in her pocket, every step bringing her closer to her warm bath at home.

Faye froze when she looked into her open apartment window. Her gloved hand dropped the keys in her pocket. ‘Someone’s in my house!’ She thought as panic flew into her. ‘My roommate is at her family’s house! That’s not my roommate!’ Faye looked around the dark streets hoping to find some clue as to who was in her house. ‘It’s not like I have anything in my house to rob.’ Faye thought as she shakily watched the intruder in the house, then a thought formed into her mind, ‘What if he’s a kidnaper! He’s after me!

She turned around and ran away from her house, in the direction of the nearest police station. Her short dark navy blue hair seeping out from under her thick hat flew behind her as she ran. Faye suddenly stopped when she bumped into a tall, handsome man. She looked up at him out of breath, “Sir! Y-You have to help me! There’s a guy in my house, and I t-think he wants to kidnap me! Do you know where the police station is?” Sure, she knew how to protect herself, her brother taught her that much, but she didn’t know if the man in her apartment was armed, and she didn’t own a cell phone. She figured the police were best for this situation, much to her embarrassment after living here all these years she didn’t know where the station was located at. She mentally kicked herself for not finding out where it was sooner.

The man looked up in the direction she was running away from, the handsome features on his face contorted with confusion and worry. He looked back down at the out of breath girl and grabbed her wrist, “Yeah, I work at that office imputing stuff… this way.” He led her down an alleyway littered with snow powdered garbage.

Faye marveled at his speed as she ignored the small voice in the back of her mind telling her to get away from this strange man. Her thoughts and suspicions disappeared when she tripped on an old tire that was covered in snow, sending her falling to the ground.

The man stopped and looked at her, “Are you all right?”

Faye didn’t look up at him, but kept her gaze on her ankle, “I’m fine, but I think I twisted my ankle.” She winced as she tried to stand up and leaned on the man for support.

The man let out a frustrated sigh as he picked her up, “I’ll just have to carry you.” He placed her over his shoulder, as a voice rang out through the alleyway.

“Stop right there!” A British sounding voice rang throughout the alleyway. Faye looked at the figure in front of her. Faye recognized the way he stood and his height as the same man in her apartment.

The man who was carrying Faye grumbled, “Great, this is just what I needed.”

Faye eyed the man suspiciously, wanting him to let her go. “Wha-”

The shadow figure held up a pointed finger at them, “Put her down.” A car passed by, the light shinning on the figure’s face. Faye noticed his untidy brown hair, with a red bandana tied around his forehead, helping to keep the hair out of his face. She didn’t like the fact that he looked like a member of a gang. But she had to admit, he did have the nicest eyes.

Faye’s thoughts were interrupted when she was turned around, the man now facing the ‘British gang member’ “You’re going to have to make me I guess. I’m not giving her up without a fight.”

Faye smiled despite the situation, this guy was being protective.

“Fine.” She heard the man at the end of the alleyway say. The next thing Faye knew, she was turned around, as the man who was carrying her broke into a run, as he dashed into an old abandoned stacked parking lot. She watched the man behind her chasing them all the way. He was very athletic whoever he was.

Faye was once again turned around, catching a glimpse of light fly past her.

“Are you insane?!” The British man asked loudly, “You’re going to hurt her!”

“I don’t care.” The man said throwing something. Faye didn’t like the way this was going. She squirmed out of the man’s arms, falling onto the floor. She scooted away from the man, who didn’t turn around to check on her. Faye watched in disbelief as the man that she had just escaped from bombarded the British man with balls of light. She continued scooting away, until she hit the far side of the parking lot wall, hopefully safe until her ankle stopped swelling.

The British man, fought off the light, and went toward the man. He slugged him in the face, sending the man falling back and disappearing on the floor. Faye looked around for the man and was spooked when he showed up beside her.

“Sorry sweet cakes, nothing personal. Just business.” The man said as he picked her up, and held a hand to her head.

Faye screamed as a hot light formed across the palm of the man’s hand. “Let me go!”

“I promise it will be a painless death. Really, I do.” The man said smiling down at her. Faye could feel tears streaming down her face as she shook in fear. She didn’t want to die. And by the way he was holding her, she couldn’t move to defend herself.

The man on the other side of the parking lot screamed no, just as someone appeared in front of Faye. Faye’s eye’s shut as she was grabbed out of the man’s arms and thrown onto the ground. A second later, when she opened her eyes, she saw a red headed woman holding up the man by his shirt. Faye’s eyes traveled down to the woman’s hand, which was covered in blood.

The red head dropped the man, who disappeared, in a small cloud of smoke. She turned to the British man, freaking out Faye.

Faye gawked at the red head, unable to speak, she had a red puffy tail! Sprouting from her! And it was moving.

“Pyro was a fool for trusting you Zeke.” The red headed, tailed woman growled as she walked up to the British man, whom Faye was guessing was ‘Zeke’.

Zeke smiled, “Thank you Nena.” He said, straightening back his hair.

Nena pouted, “Whatever. I was only following orders.” She turned towards Faye. “Priestess. We have to go.”

Faye looked around stupidly, “Priestess?”

Zeke walked up to her, “Priestess, there’s no time for this. We must leave now, for I fear more are coming.” He gently took Faye’s hand and helped her up. He looked straight into her eyes, sending a chill down Faye’s spine.

Faye looked back at his electric blue eyes, “What are you talking about? I’m no priestess! Where do you think you are taking me?!”

Nena growled, “Zeke, we really have no time for this.” Faye saw Nena come towards her quickly, and the next thing she knew, she was gasping for air. Her vision fogged with tears as her world went black.

Zeke glared at Nena as he caught the precious priestess, “Nena. Must you always refer to violence in every situation?”

Nena frowned, “I really don’t think we have time for a lecture at this moment.” She disappeared, and Zeke followed her, still holding on to the priestess.

‘‘Looking for thrills? Adventure? Sights only few see?” Pictures zoomed across the walls of the house.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” The young man answered.

Then join the Galactic Academy today!’

Silence rung throughout the room as the tall teen slowly pulled his legs down off the coffee table. Slowly standing up, he walked over to the wall and placed his hand on the ad and smiled, he needed an adventure. “Tons of hot girls are there I bet.” Looking up at the wall, a flash rung throughout the room and all the furniture disappeared.

Extending his arms automatically, beams zoomed around him and the black walls filled with his information. A moment later, everything was back to normal and a small round circle lay on the wall next to the acknowledgement symbols. Placing his hand on the circle, he smiled as another flash took his picture and a compartment opened up in the wall of the blank room. Picking up the card, he looked at it and frowned, “I hate pictures. At least they got my name right…” Looking at his first name, he smiled at it, “Kiyoshi.” Pulling out an outfit, he picked up the ticket for his shuttle and smirked.

“Wh-Where… Ugh… my head.” Sitting up, Faye blinked open her blue eyes and looked around. Feeling completely lost she felt her heart sink as lights bleeped around her. It looked like some science fiction movie. Getting off of the cold tabletop, she walked towards the door and looked for a handle, when she found none, she banged on it loudly. Fear overwhelmed her as she tried to wake herself from this horrible nightmare. She had to have fallen asleep at work, there was no way this could be happening.

The sound of many hurried steps from behind the wall ignored her. The only sound that changed was a few voices, some of them not human. Backing away, Faye tripped over a wire and fell clumsily, pulling things down with her as she fell.

Somewhere in the room, the sound of something opening caught her ears, and an all too familiar voice cried out, “Oh!”

Faye landed hard on her rear end and looked up to see that gang member, Zeke, blinking down at her. He had been a second too late in catching her.

“Sorry…” He apologized as he helped her to her feet.

Faye saw the door was open and kicked the stranger in the shin hard and in a move she learned when she was six, flipped him onto his back onto the floor. Even though she remembered him saving her life from that creep in the alleyway, she was too afraid to stay where she was another minute. Rushing out of the room, she ignored the painful complaints of the man, who cursed in a colorful language unlike any Faye had heard before.

“Wait! Priestess!” He called out behind her.

Faye rounded the corner outside the large laboratory-like room and ran out into the corridor, her sneakers squeaked against the hard floor as she stopped and grabbed the bars in front of her. Looking down, she saw different aliens walking around most of them dressed in armor. Pushing away from the bars, she dodged the attempted grab from Zeke and ran, panting as she reached the end of the corridor.

“Faye! Wait!” He called out.

Faye saw another door open and two guys emerge from the room, rushing past them, she ran into the room and the door slid shut behind her.

“Hey! That’s our roo-!”

“Excuse me…” Zeke’s voice came from right outside the door.

Faye looked around and saw a closet, rushing over to it, she threw it open and crawled in next to the folded up bed and hid to the best of her capability, praying she’d awake from this nightmare.

The door slid open and the three males blinked into the room.

“Is she all right?” One of them asked as he glanced behind him to the dorm section they were in.

Zeke shook his head, “We are giving her a heavy dosage of medication… carry on… I’ll get her.” Flashing the two of them a card, he walked into the room and shut the door behind him as the two other males continued walking.

“Faye… Come out of there, it’s not safe…” Zeke sighed as he walked over to her.

Faye closed her eyes and curled into a ball as Zeke scooped her up and pulled her out of the closet. Smoothing a strand of hair away from her face he smiled down at her as the door to her hiding place shut and the sound of water filled up the compartment.

“A self-washing bed?” Faye asked, she turned around to look at Zeke, who nodded.

“Priestess, you have to stay beside me at all times. It’s not safe to go running around…”

“Call me Faye-I’m not a priestess!” Faye pulled away from him a bit and placed her head in her hands.

“Very well, Faye. I need to give you a shot so you don’t get sick. The air here is filled with many bacteria, not Earth bacteria. You’re body could react violently if exposed without this shot...” Slowly pulling out a small round key-chain looking thing, he held out his free hand, “It’s painless. I promise.”

Faye shook her head and took a step back.

“It also has a vocal transmitter in it. It will go to your brain and allow you to communicate with the others. You need it also, incase we get separated.” Zeke went on. His hand found her cheek and she pushed it away as if it burned, “You could either cooperate or I could force it on you. I don’t want to, but I will.” Frowning he took a step forward.

Faye looked up at him with tears in her eyes, “Where am I?”

“On a space station… a few hundred light-years away from earth. This is the only safe place to keep you for the moment… Please priestess.” Taking her cheek again in his large hand, he stepped up towards her.

Faye closed her eyes as he tilted her face upwards and placed the small object on her neck. Wincing, she awaited the prick as it made a noise. A few seconds later, he pulled it away from her and tossed it into a small bin. Letting go of her face, he smiled down at her, “See? Now I don’t have to speak Earth-talk anymore.” Sighing, he smiled and stepped away from her, his British accent gone, “Someone wants to meet you priestess.”

“Faye, not priestess.” She corrected.

“…nice accent. Sound just like a Dawnabethian.” Turning around, he walked over to the door and placed his hand on the keypad and entered a few numbers. The door opened.

“Dawnabethian?” Faye questioned as she followed him, her guard still up as her eyes looked around for escape routes.

“My species… From the planet Dawnabeth. Now… to get you something to wear…” Walking into another room he allowed her in and shut the door behind her.

“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” She asked loudly.

“You stand out too much. Not good.” Zeke mumbled a reply not looking at Faye, who was looking down at her apparel, she was only wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans. Frowning, she wondered where her coat, scarf and boots went. Zeke pulled out a high officer uniform and walked over to her. Holding up the dark blue outfit, he blinked at it and smiled, “I think this is your size… Here you go.” Zeke smiled warmly down at Faye who slowly took the clothes.

“What about you? Aren’t you going to get changed?” She blinked at his mangy outfit.

“Oh… well…. If you want I guess I could…” Scratching his brown shaggy hair he walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a white outfit and frowned, “Master’s going to kill me…” He mumbled as he turned away from Faye a bit more, “You can get changed… I studied you Earthian’s for a few years and discovered upon accident that the female species don’t like changing in front of others.” Smiling, Zeke pulled off his shirt and untied the red bandana from his hair, dropping them to the ground, he made for his pants and chuckled when he heard Faye squeak and quickly turn around, “Apparently they don’t like to watch other’s get dressed either.”

Faye quickly removed her shirt and blinked, “Is it okay if I keep my bra on?”

“Your under-things? Yes…” Zeke zipped up his fresh pants and slipped on the boots over them.

Faye threw on the short shirt and pulled off her pants, replacing them with the skirt that had its own underwear. Pulling on the tall boots, she pulled on the jacket and buttoned up the buttons. Now she looked like everyone else outside… but without scales and horns and other oddities. Glancing back at Zeke she couldn’t help but smile at his attire, it looked very sharp and she couldn’t stop herself from asking, “Where’s your whip?”

“Whip?” Zeke turned around as he finished buttoning up his jacket, “That color suits you…”

“What are you a fashion major?” Faye asked sarcastically as she glanced around them instinctively for a means of escape.

Zeke glanced at her in confusion, not really getting her joke only to quickly turn his attention to the metal door as it slid open.

The shocked young man quickly stood up straight and saluted the two of them, “Permission to get dressed Sir.” He asked Zeke directly looking slightly shaken in his boots.

Zeke straightened up and nodded, walking outside the room, he stood and awaited for Faye who stood tall and walked out with him. Zeke lead her silently, proud of how she was handling everything. At least now she wasn’t running away.

“Brilliant.” Zeke frowned after a little while, “I’m not really supposed to be wearing this, but I figured no one messes with someone who dresses this high of rank. I hope Master won’t be mad…” He mumbled as he walked beside her. Faye blinked up at him, wondering if this was still a dream.

Zeke opened a door for her and led her down a few corridors that grew silent when they entered. A few silent minutes passed before they came into a large room. Faye gasped as the door shut.

“We really are… on a spaceship…” She gasped as the huge window to space shinned in the light of the planet bellow. The green planet was unlike anything Faye had ever seen. Everything was

green, the clouds, the oceans, the plants. Running up to the large window, she pressed her hands and face against it and smiled as she pinched her face, it really wasn’t a dream.

Zeke took off his hat and bowed as footsteps slowly walked past him and over to Faye. They stopped for a moment before him only to continue. Zeke could feel the orange eyes burning into him, he gulped quietly and slowly stood up straight watching his master walk over to Faye.

Faye slowly turned around and blushed as the tall attractive man stared down at her unblinkingly, his dark expression frightened her, but at the same time, sent images into her mind. Images that made her blush and look away from him.

Slowly standing before her, he gazed down warmly, as smile formed on his lips as he bowed deeply before her. His moves graceful as he stood back up, “Priestess. I request your assistance, please, hear me out.”

“…Faye.” She frowned as she studied the tall stranger. He looked powerful, and had something about the way he moved that was almost royal.

He blinked and smiled, “Faye, my name is Pyro. You can call me Prince Pyro, or Pyro, I don’t mind.” Smiling, he cleared his throat and returned to looking more serious, “We need your help. Everything that is living now, is resting in your hands. The stars, the planets, the inhabitants of every single one of them. They need you.”

Faye backed into the window and went pale, shaking with fear she opened her mouth and stuttered, “W-Wait! You’re going to s-sacrifice m-me?!”

Zeke chuckled in the background making Pyro frown. A second later, Zeke was on the floor crying out in pain, shaking as he grabbed his shoulders.

“No. We need you to live.” Pyro went on as if he couldn’t hear Zeke’s pleas.

“What’s wrong with him…” Faye asked, not taking her eyes off of Zeke who was clearly begging Pyro to stop.

“He is being punished for his lack of respect.” Pyro frowned, “Ignore him. Now, Priestess, we need you to-”

A loud slap rung throughout the dark lit room.

Zeke panted and looked up to see Faye’s hand raised and Pyro holding his face.

Faye glared up at Pyro and walked over to Zeke, grabbing his arm, she helped him to his feet.

Zeke shook with pain as he gaped down at Faye, who was still glaring at Pyro.

“Zeke has showed me nothing but kindness since I was kidnapped and brought here, and just because he laughed at me doesn’t give you the right to… to torture him like that!” Faye screamed.

“Zeke is my servant.” Pyro growled as he turned around, his black hair waiving, “He’d die if I ordered him to.”

After a moment of silence Faye glanced at Zeke and then back at Pyro as she thought over her choices carefully. It was apparent that if they needed her so much they wouldn’t let her go, so she might as well play along. At least she could help Zeke, who had tried to save her earlier and had been sympathetic with her instead of treating her coldly. He didn’t deserve this.

“…I’ll help you if… you give me him.” Faye negotiated as she looked down at the ground, her face not visible. Zeke’s eyes widened as he saw a tear hit the floor. He knew Pyro would never agree.

“I could give you hundreds of servants.”

Faye shook her head.

“I could give you your own planet too.”

Faye shook her head again. Another tear hit the floor.

“I could possibly give you the rights to your own species.”

Faye glared up at him, “I want him.” Her hands gripped Zeke’s arm that she was holding tightly.

Pyro walked over to Faye and grabbed her chin, tilting her face up to look at him he smiled darkly, “Would you accept the responsibilities of owning such a monstrous creature.”

Zeke felt Faye’s grip tighten on his arm again, “Is it a deal?”

Pyro smiled and bent over, “I’m just making sure. Very well. You can have him. I’ll inform you tomorrow of your task.” His free hand zoomed towards her forehead and his palm gently touched her skin. A burning pain zoomed through her and for a moment, all Faye saw was white. Zeke’s face flashed across her mind as she felt her skin burn at several other points across her body. Everything returned to normal and she fell limp, blacking out.

Zeke’s hands automatically zipped out and grabbed her, looking up at Pyro, he gazed at him sadly.

“Take care of your Master… Zeke.” Pyro smiled warmly, now looking rather tired. Walking past him, he ruffled his brown hair gently and looked him over, “Nice outfit.”
