Chapter1:Who Is He?
Celia's P.O.V.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
"Ugh..."
BEEP! BEEP! Crash!
"Bwahahaha!" I am so awesome when it comes to smashing alarm clocks!
I yawned and rolled over on the bed. Yay! It's Thursday! Which means it's almost Friday! I gotta deal with my teachers today and tomorrow, then I'm out of that prison they call a school! I walked to the bathroom to take a shower, brush my teeth, put my contacts in, and do whatever else I had to do. As I was about to get in the shower I turned and looked at myself in the mirror. Why do I have to be so friggin chubby? I thought to myself. And if you couldn't tell by that little hint that I hate my body, I suggest you go get your brain checked. I honestly cannot stand how fat I am. My friends and family say I'm not, but come on! I'm 180 pounds! That's huge for my age! I'm only 15! I shouldn't weigh that much! Well, whatever. I gotta get to school.
When I got on the bus, Kayla, my best friend, immediately waved me over to our seat. I plopped down next to her, and laid my head on the seat in front of us.
"Hey, KayKay." I said in a chipper voice.
"Hey, CeeCee. Don't call me KayKay," she said without looking at me.
"Why not? You call me CeeCee, don't you?"
"Yeah."
"Then I can call you KayKay," I smirk as she glares at me."So, how are you and Mike doin'?"
She smiles and lays back, sighing."We are doing so much better."
“That’s good, but I still think he’s an egotistical jerk.”
“Celia,” she warns.
“Oh, come on! He tried to protect a girl that wanted to hurt you! Don’t you think that makes him an a--..jerk?”
“Well, that was only one thing--”
“Among the many thousands,” I said, cutting her off.
She smacked me and turned towards the window. I put the earphones of my iPod in my ears and close my eyes. I felt the earphones get pulled out of my ears a few minutes later.
“What the--”
“Hey, Kayla. Hey, Celia.”
“Hey, Shawn!” I yell and hug him."Been awhile."
“Yeah, like,a few hours.”
“Mhm.” I laugh.
“So, what’s up with you guys?” He asked.
“Oh, Kayla is just mad because I insulted her boyfriend for the millionth time.”
“Ah.”
I watch as the bus pulls up to a familiar stop. My eyes widen and I hide behind my backpack.
“Oh, no!”
“Hello, ladies. How are you this fine morning?”
I sighed."Hi, Gonzalo."
Kayla started laughing."So, Gonzalo, you gonna try any moves on Celia today?”she asked.
“I’ll think about it, but it’s not that hard to know what I’m gonna do anyway.”
I started banging my head against the bus seat. When Gonzalo sat behind us I started hitting my head harder.
“Why ya doin’ that, Celia?” asked Kayla.
“Well, KayKay, Gonzalo acts like a perv' to me nearly everyday, and it creeps me out! Do you understand why I’m doing this now?”
She smirked."No, CeeCee, I don’t.”
I knew she said that just to get on my nerves so, I ignored her. Shawn put his hand on my shoulder and started to ask a question.
“So...speaking of boyfriends....have you found one yet?”
I growled. They knew I hated that question. I turned to Shawn and put on my best sickeningly sweet smile.
“No, Shawn. I have not. I’m not planning on having one yet, anyway.” You could actually see the anger dripping off the words I spoke.
“Um..okay then...”
I didn’t talk to any of them the rest of the way. I just popped my earphones back in and lost myself in the music. The bus pulled up at the school a little while later. I got off as fast as I could and ran into the gym enterance.
“Crap.” I was walking as fast as I could, saying a few nasty words along the way. I was going to be late for class if I didn’t hurry. I ended up getting caught up in a book, and I didn't notice the time until it was too late.
"Ugh!"
My locker wouldn’t open. I kicked it a few times and punched it a few times before it finally did. I grabbed my books and binder that I needed for my current class. When I turned around I noticed this guy staring at me, at least..I think he was staring at me. I looked down the hallway and didn’t see any other girls--or boys for that matter. So he is staring at me.
“Um...you got a problem,dude?”
He didn’t answer.
I set my books on the ground, stepped closer, and crossed my arms.
“Um, hello!Do. You. Have. A. Problem?” I was talking to him like he was retarded, but I want some answers, dang it! I saw him smirk.
“The Fates have chosen a fine Bride,” he said.
I took a step back, my eyes grew wide. This guy was really good looking, He had to be at least 6’3, or somewhere around that, he made me feel short even though I’m about 5’6. He had dark blonde hair. I saw it was in a ponytail, and found myself wondering how long it would be down. I looked at his face and saw he had amazing green eyes with some gold around the pupil. Hm,they are like mine except mine are a hazel green. I looked at his clothes. He was dressed in black jeans that had a single chain on them, black boots, and a tight black shirt. I could see he had a six pack on him, his shirt was so tight! I hoped I wasn’t drooling. I shook my head, finally registering what he said.
“W-what?” I stammered, backing away further."Um, heh, listen dude. Y-you can’t go up to girls --especially girls like me-- and say those kinds of things!" I said to him, stammering only a little. I was proud of myself! This guy was really intimidating! He say anything, so I looked at him.I realised he wasn’t looking at my face, he was looking at my chest! I know it’s bigger than most girls my age,but it doesn’t give him the right to stare!
“Hey, buddy! Eyes up here you pervert!” I yelled.
He looked into my eyes, and I think, at least for that moment, I stopped breathing.
“So innocent,” he whispered.
“Huh?” I seemed to have snapped out of the slight trance I was in.
He laughed."I shall see you again soon, my Beautiful Bookworm."
He kissed my cheek, and walked down the hall to the school doors. I starred after him until he vanished from my sight.
I could feel that I was blushing badly as I rushed to class.I opened the door, and glanced at the clock to see how late I was.
“Ms. Pack! You are fifteen minutes late!” said my teacher.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Grimm. I had to run some things around the school for a few teachers. I forgot to have one of them write a note.” I lied through my teeth.
"Very well. Just take your seat so I can continue to teach the class," she snapped.
“Yes, Ms. Grimm.” Her name fit her too well.
As I took my seat in the back and stared at nothing, I couldn’t help but think about that guy. Who is he? I asked myself.
