Carve

Carve,
Upon the surface
Of thy soul,
The essence of memory...

Then every moment that we share,
And every day we spend,
Becomes a memoir
Of evermore.

Days of joy
Sprinkled across
Life,
That made the world
Seem evergreen;
Tears shed
By a broken
Soul,
When darkness settled
Its untimely grasp.

Time withers away
All things
Earthly;
And existence as it is
May be lost
To eternity.

But the message
Of thy life
Of thy deeds
Remains carved
In the call of the winds;
In the flight of thy spirit.
