‘I owe you for what happened

Bang! It happens
Move; shove it out of
the way.
It is news; it is hope
Tied to the ends of a rope
For leadership has come
and gone.

Now and again, rest assured
President Bush is not the one
Be happy for the war is done
No more oppression under
The barrel of a gun

For there is freedom
No one to say
“I’m going to blow this
place up” everyday.

We dance; we move our feet
Through our newly safe streets
Finally we can breathe
For the war has taken its leave

To find ourselves open and drained
From all the world’s pain
Finally the country’s ours again!
