"Yeah. Hopefully we'll get into the mountains soon." Chi nodded and pushed to his feet, still holding Niah's hand, he started towards the looming mountains in the distance.

Niah became silent. His face was still a bright red from what happened between them. "So...um...After we find the Orchid...we are going back to your village right? The two of us?" He finally glanced up at Chi. His silver hair fell down and hid his eyes from view to the vampire.

"Yes. If that is what you want." Chi tucked Niah's beautiful hair behind his ears. "Why?"

"I was just wondering." Niah shrugged, his blush darkening. "I really do want to go with you." He bit his lip. "I hope we do not see anyone else from my tribe during this journey."

"Me either." Chi sighed. "But then again...they are my only source of food. Too bad too. Angel blood is disgusting in every since of the word."

"Is it? So my blood tasted terrible to you?" Niah looked over at Chi, interested. "How come?" He asked softly.

"I don't know really why it is so disgusting it just is. And the smell is really rank..." Chi made a face. "Maybe because angels aren't really fed on? Maybe it's your race's self protection? I don't care what it is, but to a starving vampire they really don't care how bad you smell as long as it's blood. That's why I said I had tasted worse things than piss. Angel blood is a lot worse."

Niah started giggling even though he tried not to.

"What is so funny?" Chi frowned slightly. "Are you laughing at me?

"No!" Niah sent Chi an innocent smile.

"I don't think so!" The vampire began to tickle Niah. "I'm not going to stop until you tell me!"

"Chi! No! Stop!!" Niah began to laugh once more. He clutched at his sides and tried to squirm away from Chi. "I can't talk...like...like this!! Chi!!" He laughed out loudly.

"You better try." Chi laughed himself and slid his fingers under Niah's tunic and began to tickle his ribs with skilled cold fingers. "Well?"

"I can't even...remember what...we were ...talking about!" Niah squealed. He was having trouble breathing now, each one coming out in a strangled gasp between laughs.

"You had a giggle fit!! At me!" Chi grinned and slowed his fingers. "Now why were you laughing at me?"

Niah took a couple of deep breaths before he talked again. "It's just...I don't know...we were talking about... what kind of blood you liked the best...whether it be my blood or human's or whatever... I'm sorry but I found it oddly amusing. All of the people in my tribe are set out to hate you and here we are talking about this." He looked up at Chi with a grin.

"It seems very natural for me. I mean, I don't understand. You have favorite foods don't you? Well, so do I." Chi frowned and rested his fingers on Niah's stomach.

"I didn't mean to offend you Chi. I'm sorry." Niah reached up to stroke the vampire's cheek.

"I'm not offended, Niah. Don't worry." Chi smiled back at his friend.

"Good." Niah breathed a sigh of relief ans smiled brightly. "Let's go then! We are wasting moon light!" He took Chi's hand and pulled him along the trail.

Chi started laughing. "Alright." The had finally entered the mountains and were carefully climbing the steep rock. "We do not have to worry about your tribe finding us here. Only my tribe stalks the mountains."

"Good..." Niah grins. "No more interruptions for us!" He gripped the rock's edge and hoisted himself up.

"We can only hope." Chi promised. "We shouldn't have any problems but the mountains are rough."

"This is so exciting!! I have never set foot on these mountains." Niah squealed happily.

"They are so pretty. I used to come here as a child." Chi smiled happily. "You will love them. The way the moon light hit those peaks..."

"You love them..." Niah interlaced his fingers with Chi's and looked into the vampire's happy golden brown eyes.

"I'm glad I get to share this with you, Niah...There is no one else I would rather be with."
