Chapter 4
Suspicion: the act or an instance of suspecting something wrong without proof
Kirai sat in front of the three boys. They were fiddling so much, she knew that they did something wrong. Like a mother asking her small child, Kirai stood up and paced in front of them, “Something is wrong with you guys... what did you do?”
“Nothing, Kirai-kun…” Iori answered, looking around, then back at her. Kirai clicked her tongue...kun…
“It’s very obvious…” she muttered, “you might as well tell me,”
“Nothing.” Yuuichi said in a stronger tone.
“Nothing…” Haru added. Kirai looked at them with her piercing gaze, but she left it at that. They were going to be late for school, but still, of course, she could help but what wonder what the three boys were doing last night.

The four walked to school, and she had to call her grandmother and have the boys’ enrolled into the school. She can’t afford them hanging around in her house when she wasn’t there. Surprisingly, her grandmother did agree to it, calling people here and there, pulling strings considering how late in the semester it was.
“Why do we have to go to school?” Haru asked. “And why am I separated from the two of them?” he asked.
“Because you are,” Kirai said, not wanting to explain the whole school system. They should know how school works…right?

“Kirai!” Chiyo called out for her friend. “Hey there!”
“Hello…um,” she searched for the name. “Um… Chiyo.”
Chiyo frowned and looked behind her. “Who are those guys?” she asked, then she shook her head. “Anyway, have you heard of Sayuri-senpai?” she asked excitedly. Kirai gave her a clueless look.
“No… I’m not familiar with Sayuri-senpai,” she answered. “What about her?”
“I found out that I have the same name as her!” Chiyo giggled. “She’s also named Chiyo!”
Kirai twitched; this wasn’t really something she was too excited about. “Oh, that’s pretty cool,” she commented. “Are you gonna tell her or something?”
Chiyo laughed, “Of course not!” she cried. “Sayuri-senpai is notorious for her fight club! I haven’t seen her before, but I hear she’s scary!”
Kirai shrugged her shoulders. “Well, I probably won’t worry about it,” she said. “I have to go somewhere, I have to bring these three to the office…” Kirai said.
“I’ll come with!” Chiyo offered.
“The bell’s about to ring, you should just go,”
“You’re right,” she giggled, running off to her other class.
“Oi, Kirai-kun,” Iori said from behind her. “Don’t you think you’re a little mean?” he asked.
“Mind your own business,” Kirai muttered angrily. “And I’m a girl,”
“Uh-huh…” Yuuichi said. “You know, there is an easy way to prove that,” he said, raising an eyebrow and giving her a very dirty look.
“Go to hell,” Kirai answered, close to spitting at him.
Haru sighed when the bell rang, “Where are we suppose to go?” he asked softly.
Kirai glared at the three of them, “You can find out yourself!” she furiously said, leaving them on their own in unfamiliar territory.

Kirai met up with the three boys at lunch, feeling bad that she had left them earlier. “Here,” she said, handing them each an onigiri. “I made some at home…”
“We don’t like onigiri,” the three boys said in unison.
“You should have figured it out, Kirai-kun!” Iori said.
“You should have…” Haru added.
“But of course, with a feeble mind—“ Yuuichi began, but she was already gone, walking towards the school.

School was over, and Kirai was happy. The three boys did nothing but complain about everything and how everything was not up to their taste.
“High maintenance runaways…” Kirai angrily muttered under her breath. The boys threw at her things that they didn’t need. Kirai walked to the attic, the only storage close enough for her to reach while carrying such a heavy load. Carefully, without outputting down the laundry, she opened the attic door and a sudden surge of rotting flesh wafted in the air.
“IDIOT, TURTLE, and…. IT!!” She screamed. The three boys immediately came, peering over their fuming “mother”.
“Yes?” Haru asked. Kirai pointed inside the attic.
“Can’t you smell that horrible smell?!” She asked, covering her nose. “It’s disgusting…”
Yuuichi effectively sniffed at the air and said, “I smell something really light…”
Kirai went inside, the boys following her. She felt the same paranoia that she did when the three broke into her house. She looked around the attic and screamed.
“Wh—what is that?” She asked the boys.
Iori laughed, “What else? A dead body,” he answered. Kirai narrowed her eyes to see what it really was, thinking that Iori was kidding. But no, it really truly was a dead body.
“What’s it doing in here?” Kirai whispered.
Yuuichi and Haru looked at each other and Iori continued to laugh. “What else would it be doing here?!”
“I…I don’t get it…” she whispered, she felt herself getting sick.
Yuuichi smiled at her, sudden pointy teeth showing. She glanced at Iori, whose completely opened mouth showed his own fangs. Kirai licked her lips.
“What…?” she managed to whisper.
Yuuichi cupped a hand and leaned into her ear, “Who do you think is on top of the food chain? Humans?”
“Yes.” She answered forcefully. Haru, Iori, and Yuuichi laughed loudly.
“Yeah, and the Earth is round!” Iori said, still laughing. The other’s stopped and stared at him.
“The Earth is round…” Haru said. Kirai had already blocked out the noise and focused on what Yuuichi had said…
A/N: I’m not sure, but in honorifics, kun is used for a boy who’s a good friend… right? Okay, I bet a lot saw the word “supernatural” and thought that this was going to be a romance? Haha! Sorry, it’s a comedy!! Please Review if you want another Chapter!
