Man-Kind Defeated

Back in the past,

Across the land,

When wars were fought,

By strength of hand,

There was no need,

And no desire,

To use a weapon,

Stronger than fire.

But this is now,

Unfortunately,

The fury is greater,

Than the roaring Sea.

So we invent,

And we produce,

Ways of killing,

Worse than the noose.

When will we learn,

We can’t destroy,

We can’t treat each other,

Like a disposable toy.

But we don’t understand,

Can’t see our destruction,

We make our firearms,

In mass production.

We advance,

Like never before,

Far from the days,

Of the plain dirt floor.

But technology,

Comes with a price,

Lives are lost,

For each new device.

And now the age,

Of the bomb is here,

It’s at its peak,

The world in fear.

With just one push,

No effort needed,

No one is safe,

Man kind defeated.
