This is like sorta based off of a role play and a story that never made it to paper. XD
Sangire is a half vampire, he leaves his home for ten years and doesn't return until after his abusive mother leaves. The woman he calls his mother, isn't his real mother, his real mother is dead and was a human.

Now Sangire is home to learn of some recent changes.

Sangire walked slowly to the old house. His head hung a bit low, as a sigh escaped his lips.

Why am I coming back? He thought as he got closer to the place he had called home only ten years ago. They’re not going to stay much longer. Heather and the younger ones will stay, but not Paul, Lucy, Digory, Peter, Susan, Chase, Sally or Rachel. No, they’ll all leave. But not the others. Heather won’t let them leave.

He was at the front door before he knew it.

Well can’t change my mind now. I’m here, might as well go in…

He opened the door to find the house clean. Out of the years he spent living here, it had always been dirty. And even though he’d been gone ten years, it had still been dirty the other day when he came in.

He stopped walking as he noticed that he was able to see the floor for the first time since he was young. No dirt, no dust, the furniture was clean; everything was nice, better than he could remember it.

“Surprised, Sangire?” A sweet, calm, and almost joking voice came from the stairs.

“A bit,” Sangire admitted, looking up to see his sister Heather. Of all of his siblings, she was closest to him in age. “I had no idea that this place had a floor or furniture anymore. It used to be so filled with trash, dirt, and dust; I’m surprised that it was able to be cleaned.”

Heather laughed as she descended the steps, her slightly curly blond hair bouncing a little. Her green eyes shone with happiness and her pale skin was caught by the candles in the room.

Sangire smiled at his sister. She was beautiful, he could see that and he knew it. He wanted to keep her safe- her beauty was the cause of many fights in the villages near by- and Sangire wanted to keep her away to make sure that no man ever hurt her.

Heather pulled her brother into a hug as he kissed her cheek.

“So, what brings you here?” Heather asked, pulling away from Sangire. She walked over to a chair and sat herself down, her eyes focused on him.

“Well, since Father has been…well gone, I’m the head of the family now. It’s my job to be here now, to help you and the others.”

Heather nodded, knowing that Sangire was right. In fact it was just what she wanted, and needed. She was closest to her brother, they were the closest in age, and were the first to deal with their mother’s abuse. They had depended on each other for such a long time. Not only was it her bond with her brother, but also that she could not take care of all her brothers and sisters alone.

Most of her brothers and two of her sisters had decided to leave. Sixteen vampires in one house were too crowded and the people of the nearby villages would eventually try to get rid of their little family.

“Well, you know that there’s always room for you.” Heather smiled, and then chuckled. “Well, now there is.”

“What, are the older ones leaving?” Sangire smiled, taking a seat next to his sister.

“Yes, to be blunt. Everyone except for the triplets. Karen, Roy, Erin, and Valerie are leaving.”

Sangire nodded. They were the youngest, ages ranging from four to fifteen. “So, when do the others leave?”

Heather looked down, frowning. “Well you see…”

“They already left?” Sangire cut in.

Heather nodded, her eyes filled with sadness. Her family was finally free of their mother, but now her family was breaking, leaving each other.

Sangire sighed. “I thought that would be so. Well, it’s best if they all find their own new lives. They don’t belong here, no matter how much we want them to stay, and eventually they have to leave.”

“You came back.” Heather said through tears. “You didn’t leave forever.”

Sangire looked down and frowned. Yes, he had left, but he had to come back. It was his job to watch over his younger siblings.

Refusing to say any more, Sangire got up, and walked up the stairs. He looked around at the open doors and the windows closed with blankets in front of them. It was around six A.M. so the sun was coming up.

He stuck his head into the rooms, seeing one with three beds, two empty. In one bed, the triplets all cuddled together under the blanket. Sangire smiled at the sight of his youngest brothers. So innocent, none of them had ever been bitten.

Pulling himself away, he walked on further down the hall, looking into each room, seeing each of his siblings sound asleep, some with bite marks on their necks. He sighed as he made his way to his old room. A frown appeared on his lips, bad memories filled his mind.

In this room he was abused, and hurt. He found no sanctuary anywhere, not even here.

The room was the same, only clean, but everything had been put right back after being dusted.

Sangire smiled a little after looking around, laughing at the fact that his room was cleaned but everything was back. Books left on the floor, candle sticks broken, everything was mess, but clean in the sense that there was no dirt and dust. He lay down on the bed, ignoring the mess he should clean up.

I’ll get to it later. He thought as he closed his eyes, and slowly fell asleep.
