Author's Note: I wrote this for English class last year. It's probably the only good poem I've ever written so I thought I'd share. I'd really like feedback as to what you think about it.

Reason

They silently watch it,
It haunts them,
It frightens them,
It consumes them
Whole.
They never wanted it,
But they got it.

They silently watch it,
It burns them,
It ruins them,
It destroys them
All.
They never wanted it,
But they got it.

They silently watch it,
It horrifies them,
It appals them,
It scorches them
Entirely.
They never wanted it,
But they got it.

They silently watch it,
It chokes them,
It corrodes them,
It cripples them
Constantly.
They never wanted it,
But they got it.

War,
We fear it for a Reason.
