Kanna-sama: (sigh) This upcoming summer is going to be busy for me, not to mention that I’ll be going to college in September. Tragic.

Summer

Soft, lush, vibrant with colour;

Shimmering sunlight gleaming across the water;

No longer duller;

Summer.

-

Voices raised in laughter;

Lithe bodies dancing, twisting, irresistibly sure;

Events merging into one quick moment like the movement of a runner;

Summer.

-

Heat smoothes over cool winter, gently stroking;

Children run through sprinklers where the water may cling;

Teenagers hold wild parties, likely to enjoy a brief fling;

Summer.

-

Nature springs to full bloom as the angels sing;

Rose petals spread, introducing a magnificent queen;

Trees sway gently while a breeze is drifting;

Summer.

-

Drowsy daylight pulls into night;

Colours extending far into a beautiful sight;

And soon there is no more of the warm light;

Summer.

-

Heat turns to warmth with hardly a fight;

Water cools, for it is the temperature’s right;

And it all concludes absent of any slight;

Summer.
